  2. Make sure your crab cakes have been refrigerated for at least 2 hours.

Grilling crab cakes is easy and the taste is unmatched by any other method. Once the crab cakes have emerge from the fire no one can keep their hot little hands off.

Ingredients:

  • 1 dungeness crab or 3 blue crabs cracked and shelled or 1 can of Jumbo lumb blue crab meat
  • 10 saltines crushed (preferably without salt)
  • 1/4 cup of buttermilk
  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • 1/2 red pepper chopped
  • 1/2 green pepper chopped
  • 1/2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp cilantro chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1/2 Tbsp Mayonnaise

Method to the Rad-ness:

In a medium mixing bowl whisk the egg, milk, Old Bay seasoning, Worcestershire sauce and together until thoroughly blended. Stir in the mayonnaise, onion, green pepper, red pepper and cilantro. Mix thoroughly. Add the saltines. Gently add the dungeness or blue crab meat being careful not to break it apart.

Form into six equal patties and place them on a plate. Refrigerate for about an hour.

Once the crab patties are cold prepare the BBQ.

Spray the grills of the BBQ with Pam or any other non-stick spray of your preference. Fire-up the BBQ and pre-heat to medium heat.

Put the patties on the grill and cook for 4 minutes each side with the lid closed.
