This crab dip recipe will be brought to your table in twenty minutes or your money back garantee.

My philosophy is you can never have too many easy, quick to prepare twenty minute meals in your arsenal and this crab dip is just that. A twenty minute meal with all the fixin’s.

What? Crab dip is not a meal, you say? Oh contraire moon friar…

With all the glorious ingredients that builds this into a culinary masterpiece you would be hard pressed not to serve this dip with a knife and fork and call it supper! The chunks of crab meat and all the vegetable chunks would put Campbell’s soup to shame.

Featuring all the four basic food groups accompanied by a bread bowl (use multigrain for added nutritional value) you can’t go wrong.

When I make this dip I use some left over Dungeness crab meat, but any Jumbo lumb blue crab meat
canned crab will work just fine. I scour my fridge for whatever veggies I can find (and sometimes crunching fruit like apples and pears.) Then I call this dip “My everything crab dip”.  But if you want to make this crab dip the best it can be (kitchen tested by Davis, the Crab Tasting Fairy) then go out and get yourself the following…

Ingredients:

  •  1 onion chopped fine
  • 1 carrot grated
  • 1/2 cucumber grated
  • 1 stalk of celery chopped fine
  • 1/2 red bell pepper chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of minced garlic (or to taste)
  •  1/2 cup sour cream
  •  1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Dungeness crab meat or Jumbo lumb blue crab meat
(imitation crab meat can work as well)
  •  1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  •  1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • sour dough bread bowl

Method to the Rad-ness:

Chop and grate all the vegetables. Add them to a medium sized mixing bowl along with the garlic, sour cream, cream cheese, crab meat, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce.

Thoroughly blend all the ingredients until they are smooth and creamy.

Allow the dip to chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before putting it in the bread bowl.

Hollow out the bread bowl and keep the bread portions for dipping later. Scoop the dip into the bread bowl and serve.
