Crab Cake Sauce Recipe For Tomato Salsa

Fresh homemade salsa for a crab cake sauce

“Whoa dude you’ve gotta try this out OMFG!” He takes another bite…”These are totally awesome!”

This is the type of reaction you can expect when your daughter invites a bunch of teens over and you serve them this recipe for crab cake salsa.

This crab cake sauce could be eaten as a meal in itself. It’s tangy with a bit of zip and makes your mouth say yum with every bite. It’s jammed packed with nourishment, too. But don’t let the teens know.

Salsa Recipe Ingredients:

  • 6 Roma Tomatoes
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 yellow pepper
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1-2 jalapeno
  • 1/2 cup of cilantro chopped fine
  • juice from one lime
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method to the Rad-ness:

Chop the tomatoes in half and scoop out the seeds and juice and cube. Add them to a medium mixing bowl. Mince the garlic and cilantro and add them to the tomatoes with the lime juice.

Chop the green, red and yellow peppers, remove the seeds and dice them into small pieces. Mix them with the tomatoes.

Chop the onion and add it to the mix.

I like a lot of spice so I add two whole jalapeno with seeds and all. If your taste buds don’t allow for spicy food then cut your jalapeno in half and scoop out all the seeds. Use half of one jalapeno at first then add more to taste later (after you’ve added salt).

Add salt and pepper to taste.

*Add more jalapeno if you want your salsa to have more zip.

*If you find your salsa is too spicy add two more tomatoes. If that doesn’t do the trick, mix a teaspoon full of brown sugar into the sauce.
